Striations / Front-Clasping Necklace / Sterling Silver & Labradorite

A new wild way to front-clasp! Textured and torn sterling silver sheet wraps its tentacles around two angular halves of darkened, solid sterling silver sheet. The inner edge of one half wraps its own branches permanently around three bright silver rings; the other half leaves room for the rings to slide out with a bit of a shimmy and a push, unclasping the necklace from the front. On the lowest rung hangs a beautiful drop of labradorite that shines greens and blues in the light, set in a textured and tattered bezel and wrap-around bail of its own. Four more arms fold over to create bails on the top of the necklace, through which 12 gauge sterling silver wire slides through and around into a large circle around the neck. This badass work of wearable art took me five days to create, about $200 worth of sterling silver (the price has skyrocketed!) and is truly unlike any other!
