Chrysalis Earrings / Orange Kyanite & Sterling Silver Wrap Studs

Elongated diamonds of sterling silver, textured and cracked down the middle, wrap around the earlobe in a metallic embrace. Circles of rose cut orange kyanite wedged between the crack hold the two sides together. Subconsciously inspired by watching the metamorphosis of a monarch butterfly in my front garden (caterpillar-->chrysalis-->butterfly), these hand-fabricated earrings reflect the darkness of modern life, held together by the beauty of nature.
