Hidden in Plain Labradorite / Hidden Locket Necklace / Labradorite & Silver
Wracked this ol’ brain for weeks about how to create a hidden locket where the stone doubled as a sliding door. Once I chose a path, it took me over seven full days to build the thing (always 2-3 more than anticipated). It was a tricky mechanism to figure out and I hope that you love it like I do.
Elevated squares of hand-sawn, slitted silver overlap at the corners, leading to a bezel/prong-set super flashy light blue labradorite. The labradorite doubles as a door, sliding up to reveal a hidden locket beneath. all of this hangs on a handmade drilled square wire chain and toggle clasp. Finished with a brushed patina, this necklace is a piece of wearable art like no other!
