The Precipice / Recycled Leather, Silver, Labradorite, & Zinc Collar

My first of many leather + silver creations!!! I've been wanting to incorporate leather into my work for a while so I finally bit the bullet and took a three-day leather workshop. This necklace was weeks in the making and took a ton of trial, error, and waiting for packages to figure out, but I am SO PUMPED about how it turned out. 
 
This badass, adjustable, one-of-a-kind work of wearable art starts with a pointed collar of recycled black leather. The leather is topped with triangles of brushed sterling silver, riveted onto the silver in a jagged, geometric pattern. A beautiful triangle of labradorite, flashing the colors of the rainbow in the light, centers the piece. Finished with a handmade sterling silver extender chain and hook clasp, this necklace is comfy and adjustable, too.
