The Road Not Taken / 23.5K Gold, Fine/SS Silver, & Pearl Front-Clasping Necklace
This is a kuem boo cracked front-clasper unlike any other! An abstract, hand-drawn design of winding 23.5 karat gold envelopes a moon-shaped shield pendant, contrasted by black patinated silver cutouts. Through all of this winds a large crack, branching in two directions, one arm reaching over a small white pearl. The crack acts as the receiving end of a front clasp. Another pearl, set atop a jump ring and "T" bar mechanism is the giving end, which slides easily through the fork in the crack before winding up one side to it's final position at the top of the pendant, mirroring a jump ring on the other end. This necklace is a wild, head-turning, one-of-a-kind work of wearable art!
PSA/Service Announcement: the prices of silver and gold are ABSOLUTELY INSANE RIGHT NOW. Just 6 months ago, the price of silver was $24 an oz. It is now $47 and rising šššš (when I started making jewelry 5 years ago, it was $12!) . I already make almost nothing an hour and Iām honestly terrified about how Iām going to continue to make this work, as it seems that the prices of each are forecasted to keep going up into the foreseeable future. Thank you so much for continuing to support my work as we all navigate uncertain times.
