Tunnel Vision / Front-Clasping Labradorite & Sterling Silver Necklace

A bright silver bar with rows of offset jump ring tunnels juts horizontally across the chest. Blackened silver chain, capped with a ball link, flows through the tunnel above, reaching up and around the neck, ending in a triangular hook clasp that connects to a jump ring on the opposing side of the bar. Below, a partial diamond of flashy yellow/orange, green, and blue labradorite--bezel and prong set with two rows of jump rings at its sides--is suspended by two strands of chain that complete the elongated diamond shape, one strand continuing up and through the jump ring tunnel at the bottom of the bar. This necklace has it all: asymmetrical balance, elegant edge, & some simply difficult engineering; it is a simply one-of-a-kind work of wearable art.
