(Under)Grounded / Broken Labradorite & Sterling Silver Necklace
[[Sold in Instagram Subscriber Presale]]
A few months ago, I had the harrowing experience of spending a week on a necklace before breaking the stone while setting. I rebuilt that piece ("Reconstructed" still available here!) with a different stone and set the broken stone aside for a future work (you know I love my broken stones!). At last, I dreamt up the perfect design for the broken stone and here is the result.
Hammered and forged silver roots pierce through and around two halves of a labradorite stone that goes from a ghostly gray in the shadows to a flash of jagged rainbow. The root wraps around the neck, ending in a two-pronged branch. This asymmetrical statement stunner brings a broken stone back from the dead into a truly one-of-a-kind work of wearable art!
